Programs AT Tri Corner Feed
Tri Corner Feed in Sharon CT once a farm called Q Farm has become an organization that promotes healthy food for the poor and addresses issues that cause food inequality. They work with farmers to participate in program that make food available to the poor or groups that do not often have access.
Their organizations is working on a fair pricing program with local organization to try to establish a program where consumers can pay what they can for fresh produce. The organization is working on a program to help local farmers launch new programs and increase sustainable farming practices. The organization is called Tri Corner Food Equity, Education, and Distribution.

This program pays farmers ahead for their crops to help them participate in programs that help feed the poor. Farms are matched with local hunger relief programs that serve the needs of their community. All farms or volunteers are provided technical support from Tri Corner Feed.
They want to provide healthy food in the Tri Corner to people often excluded from access . These groups are indigenous groups, the black community, veterans, women, the LGBTQ population and other underserved groups.

Tri Corner Feed works with a variety of organization in the area to provide consumers access to food. They work with local farms Adamah Farm in Falls Village CT, Rock Steady Farm Millerton NY, Sky High Farm Ancramdale, NY, Ten Mile Farm Foundation Dover Plains, NY.
Local CT organization involved are Lakeville Corner Pantry in Lakeville CT, and Northwest Community Food Hub in Northwest CT. This organization works with farmers in northwest CT and helps them distribute the crops they grow. They partner with restaurants, schools and other groups providing customers for local farms.
Northeast CT Food Hub
This organization works with over 30 local farms, and wholesale buyers that include restaurants, supermarkets, and organizations. They pick up produce and deliver it to wholesale customers. They work delivering produce to school with their farm to table program, seniors with their nutrition program in Winstead, and provide 15 weeks of produce to low-income residents in Torrington and Winstead.
